Meeting Minutes
April 27th 2006
The JPVRA April 27th meeting was held at
7:00 pm at the PCSO District Center on Ave G. President Bill Brown opened the
meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance. The March minutes were read and
accepted. Lynn Giles, Treasurer, reported that we have a balance of $269.97 in
our account.
Old Business:
* Gave Thea 2 Bok
Tower tickets for her help in reporting violators and for giving us 2 books of
stamps. Thanks Thea.
* I called Florida
Refuse. They sent me a list containing items they will and will not pick up. Had
copies at meeting for anyone that wanted one.
* I called Public
Safety about the dead tree at 706 Sidney Circle. This is not a violation and
the owners are responsible for any damage it does.
* I called North
Central Landfill about free items that they have. Items vary and you can call
or go by to see what they have. There address is 7215 E Hwy 540 (863-499-2689)
* Bill called Tucker
Construction but they were not the ones doing the construction on the
apartments by Del's.
* Shirts for sale The Village shirts are $8.00 and
The Keep Polk County Beautiful shirts are $5.00
* I mailed out 2
litter trooper reports. If anyone would like some let me know.
* Bok Tower tickets
for sale $2.00 each
* We would like to
thank the county for donating the Moon Walk that was at the yard sale.
New Business:
* Need to have another
clean up day soon.
* Was suggested to
have another Yard Sale/Fall Fair in October. Need ideas for games and
activities for the kids.
* Al is going to
update the web page for us again. If you have any ideas that need to be on the
web page let us know.
* Code Violations watch channel 19 need to add 120 Coleman and house on Hatfield to list. Had to redo letter, passed it around and
got suggested on how to make it more people friendly.
* Signs along Hwy and
roads need to stop and pull them up
they makes our community look bad.
* The bar at plaza and
house on Fern needs extra attention by the Sheriff's Dept
* Discussed the dog
and cat problems in the neighborhoods. Dogs barking and cats wandering. What
can be done.
* If you see a house
in your neighborhood that should receive a Beautification Award let us know.
* Everyone at the
meeting wanted to let the officers know what a great job they are doing for the
Association.
