Meeting Minutes
December 15th
2005
The JPVRA met on
Dec.15th, 2005 at the pcso district center located at 3635 Ave G,
winter haven at 7:00pm. The meeting was brought to order by president, bill
brown. The Nov. 17th, 2005 minutes were read and accepted as is.
1) having a yard sale- bill is going to review a
cd and get with The Inwood President on the best way to organize a yard sale.
We can have up to 4 per year.
2) mission
statement- Russ explained the importance of having a mission statement and
peoples ideas were noted. We are still looking for more good ideas to make a
great mission statement.
3) web site- www.jpvra.org take time and visit the site. Al Lococo will be working on
updating it by creating a page for reporting code violations and other needed
material.
4) code violations- address at 215 6th St.
Association sent letter to Robert Gasper, Code Enforcement Director and we
received a response. The house will be demolished and the overgrowth must be
cleaned up and cut down. (call 534-6403)
5) Pledge Of Allegiance- Russ discussed saying
the pledge of allegiance to open each meeting. Was voted on and approved.
1) work on getting at least one person from each street to attend meetings.
2) roadway clean up- clean Coleman Road need
volunteers for a Saturday clean up. See Lynn Giles if interested
3) called Harvey Green about getting the Village
Square to clean up behind each store.
4) Association has t-shirts for sale $8.00
each See Lynn Giles to purchase
5) complaints- noiise from the bar at village
square (tequila) call Sheriff’s Office and report noise and ask for contact.
This is the only way to get something done about noise. Trash in the middle of Spirit Lake Road need
to call roadway maintenance and report (call 534-7361) Maggie circle racing and loud boom boxes -
deputies will patrol the area.
6) property between King Rd and Coleman Denise Robinson thinks that they want to
have it rezoned inside the city limits of Winter Haven.
7) Sheriff Paul Baggett spoke — crime is down we have deputies patrolling our
neighborhood regularly, please don’t hesitate to report a crime or anything
that looks suspicious.
