Meeting Minutes
February 23rd 2006
The JPVRA February
23rd meeting was held at the PCSO district center located at 3635 Ave G. Winter
Haven at 7:00pm. President, Bill Brown, brought the meeting to order. Bill
introduced our guest speakers. They were Glenda Mink, Admin. Supervisor of the
Leisure Services Division, Bob Wiebrich, Senior Parks Planner of the Leisure
Services Division, and Janis Davis, executive director of the Keep Polk County
Beautiful.

passed out Great American Clean up brochures & Keep Polk County Beautiful
" Litter Trooper Report " forms. She encouraged everyone to get out
and volunteer for the Great American Clean up on March 11th 2006. For more

Bob Wiebrich
(534-4340) talked about upgrading the JPV Park. The park is 20 acres. Need
master plan. Using engineer consultant company BB&J. will have 4 meetings
with the public to discuss park plans. (May, July, Aug. Sept.) Will take 8 to 9
months. So think about what you would like to have in the park. Budget
$254,000. Final plans need approval by county commissioners. Bob is planning to
be at our May meeting.
Glenda Mink -
(534-4340) Friends Of The Parks. Non profit. Needs citizen involvement. Has a
park partners program. If you are interested call Glenda. Works With Keep
America Beautiful. Nice parks help property value and attracts better
neighbors. Can also apply for grant money.

1) Clean up date-
March 11th meet at JPV Park at 9:00am.
So far 15 people have signs up.
2) Code violations-
have friendly letter completed. Need everyone to bring addresses of
violatators.
3) Community garage
sale- march 18th at 7:00am at the jpv park on Coleman road. Space rental
$10.00. See the Winter Haven News Chief for ad. Call Bill at (581-4021) for
space rental or to donate items
New business
1) JPV Fire Dept will
be moving
2) was suggested to
give out Keep Polk County Beautification Appreciation Awards to neighbors that
keep up their property.
