Meeting Minutes

November 16^th2006

The JPVRA November 16^th meeting was held at the PCSO District Center on Avenue G at 7:00pm. Due to the absence of Bill Brown and Lynn Giles Canady the meeting was opened by Secretary, Martha Bruce. The October minutes were read and accepted. Harvey Green, from Code Enforcement Division and Ginny Nifong, from the News Chief, were again guests at the meeting. Welcome back.

Harvey updated everyone on the following cases (Open cases)

1) 706 Sidney- distressed vehicle

2) 601 Glad- yard sale items and sale

3) Fern- commercial vehicle

4) Vaniman- commercial vehicle

5) 702 Glad- commercial vehicle

6) 804 Glad- parked cars

7) Fern- buses- one week to move or $25.00 a day fine

8) Patrick- property maintenance

Harvey will open a case file for boat on Glad.

The election of new officers took place at the November meeting. The new officers are as followed:

President: Lynn Giles Canady

Vice President: Debbie Tucker

Secretary/Treasurer: Thea Crosier

The new officers’ duties will begin January 1^st 2007. Congratulations to the new officers.

We still need a volunteer to research the Grant Program.

Lynn had idea of having a community fun day at the park. Was suggested calling Park and Recreation, Leisure Services (534-4340). They will plan a movie night in park for free. (will plan and set up) We could sell hot dogs, drinks, popcorn, and candy to raise money.

Was also suggested getting with the President of the Inwood Association for ideas. They have been very successful in getting things done for their community. See how they are getting their community involved.

Discussed what we could do for Bill Brown as neighbors.

1) Car wash

2) Donate yard sale items

3) Have chance drawing (items needed)
